It's a Stretch But I Think We Got It!

A couple of weekends ago we entered the mall via JC Penny’s. Usually we just breeze straight thru to the interior of the mall but that night these babies caught my eye.

WORTHINGTON - faux snake skin pumps

Everything I wanted; snake skin, sexy and inexpensive ($16.99).

However, they kill my feet in about five minutes. First the toes become uncomfortable then they actually feel like they have fallen asleep.

When I mentioned to my guy that I wasted my money on shoes that I just can’t wear he told me he could stretch them for me.

After a quick Google search he began the process of stretching my shoes. I love the man; he is very handsome and handy. He saturated the interior of the shoes with water and expanded a shoe stretcher inside each shoe. It has taken a couple of attempts per shoe but voile…  These shoes are slowly becoming comfortable.

Another option that we found via our Google search was to fill a zip lock baggies half way with water. Seal the baggies and place into the shoe. They mentioned that the baggy of water must fill the interior of the shoe toe to heel. The next step is the intriguing part, at least to me; you then place both shoes into a plastic bag and place into the freezer. Leave them in the freezer for 12 hours or so and bring them out and defrost for about 10-20 minutes and then place on feet and wear. I’m going to try this method if I ever have a need for another pair of shoes to be stretched.

Thanks for reading my blog and please feel free to leave a comment.
